A hilariously offbeat and tender comedy about one bipolar woman’s messy search for love at a seaside wedding where no one can stay afloat.
Is she falling in love, or falling apart?
Dee, Misa, and Matt were the "three musketeers" of the psych ward. A year after discharge, Dee is eager to convince everyone that she’s finally turning things around. But Matt and Misa are tying the knot in Turks and Caicos, surrounded by guests who have no idea where they met, and the secrecy isn’t sitting well with Dee, who has been hopelessly in love with Matt since before she got kicked out of the hospital.
So, when Dee arrives at the swanky resort with her high-voltage sister, Tilley, it’s now or never to confess how she feels. But disrupting her best friends’ nuptials would jeopardize the entire support system that holds the trio together. When it comes to happily ever afters, how is a girl supposed to choose between love and recovery?

Armed with their Disaster Mix 3000 playlist and an arsenal of "slightly unhinged" advice, Dee and her sister Tilley are on their way to Turks and Caicos. Ostensibly, they are headed to the wedding of two of Dee's best friends, former fellow psychiatric hospital patients with her. Though their travel papers say pleasure, Dee is on a mission to break up the wedding and declare her love for the groom. But does she actually want the man or just the security that being in a stable relationship seems to represent? Simpson makes a humorous and heartwarming debut with this friendship fiction. Narrator Kym Miller gives an expressive performance of Dee's first-person perspective, as well as the delightfully dysfunctional cast of supporting characters. Her delivery of the characters' lively banter and questionable behavior yields an engaging and amusing listening experience that will leave listeners smiling. VERDICT This audio will appeal to listeners seeking funny relationship fiction about marriage, mental health, and making amends. Recommended for fans of Richard Roper, Jennifer Weiner, and Emily Henry.--Lauren Hackert
