How to Survive an Animal Attack addresses the relative rarity of animal attacks before briefly examining the situations that can lead to them, the kind of animals most likely to attack, and how to behave during and after an encounter. All volumes are frank and factual, written in a calming tone that, though it doesn't downplay the risks of each situation, doesn't sensationalize attacks or disasters.
